Docker container monitoring: Monitor Docker instances through Domotz

Looking for Docker contain monitoring? Domotz can help. Proactively monitor all your Docker engines and instances with our Docker container monitoring features. Monitor Docker containers for performance and for the availability of services offered through your container systems.

Additionally, our Docker container monitoring enables you to monitor the statistics out of your Docker system such as statuses, counters, HW resource usage, images and more.

Use our Docker container monitoring to monitor important per-container metrics, the images available in your Docker engine, as well as the configuration of the Docker daemon itself:

These features are available leveraging our “Custom Integration” functionality. You can find the Docker driver codes in our example’s library and further customize them to fit your needs.

Docker Statistics

Proactively monitor the content of your Docker instances.

Our drivers enable you to:

  • Automatically identify all the containers running within the Docker instance
  • Automatically list and monitor all the images available at the Docker engine level
  • Measure the Hardware resource consumption for every container
  • Review the configuration of the Docker engine

Monitor Docker Configuration Info as well as the list of Docker images available

We provide Docker container monitoring for single containers, the configuration of the Docker daemon and the images available in the Docker engine.

We have made three different examples of the driver which can be easily customized to extract the information out of your Docker engine.

How to enable the Docker container monitoring drivers

Create New Driver Docker Driver Code

To enable the custom integration for Docker container monitoring, open the WebApp and follow these few steps:

  1. From the left menu, click on "Integration" then on the tab "Custom Integration"
  2. By clicking on “Create a new driver” will open a window where you need to choose the “Driver name” and the “Driver description”.
    For example:
    • “Docker Info” as a Driver name and a description
    • “Docker Images” as a Driver name and a description
    • “Docker Container Stats” as a Driver name and a description
  3. Copy the content of the selected scripts from the example in the Driver code area (the empty space for the code)
  4. Apply the Custom Integration to a generic device. The driver will create a table with an row/entry for every single content to be monitored.
