Amazon Web Services Monitoring

Amazon Elastic Computer Cloud (Amazon EC2) collects Elastic Compute Cloud Instance metrics.

It consists of two scripts:

• aws_ec2.js: it monitors general information such as CPU, disk operations, and network properties
• aws_ec2_volumes.js: it monitors the status and health of disk volumes

The collected metrics are used to monitor and analyze the performance and health of the EC2 instance.

This script collects Amazon CloudWatch metrics.

Use it to retrieve CloudWatch metrics for various AWS services, including EC2, RDS, ELB, and Lambda.

Use this script to monitor the following metrics: CPU Utilization, Network In, Network Out, Disk Read Ops, Disk Write Ops, Database Connections, and many more.

Get the script:

• aws_cloudwatch_metric.js

This script collects Amazon Elastic Block Store (EBS) metrics.

The collected metrics are used to monitor and analyze the performance of EBS.

Get the script:

• aws_ebs.js

This script collects Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS) metrics. It consists of two scripts:

• aws_rds_metrics.js: it monitors general information such as CPU, disk operations, and network properties
• aws_rds_instance_info.js: it monitors the actual RDS instance properties such as storage, class, status, engine, etc.

This script retrieves billing metrics from AWS to monitor AWS cost and usage to ensure that the cost of AWS usage does not exceed the allocated budget.

The scripts use the HTTP/S protocol to access the web services.

Use the pre-configured scripts to monitor and manage network-connected devices, cloud services, and web applications. By using standard network protocols, the scripts will allow you to retrieve valuable data and execute actions on the monitored devices and services.

Build or customize scripts according to your network monitoring needs.

Additionally, you can apply customized alerts on scripts to be notified when a specific event occurs.
